Basic Orientation Plus® - BOP Edition: 2018
The purpose of this course is to reduce injuries by educating workers so that they will have a better understanding and knowledge of safety. The following topics meet awareness level training; Process Safety Management (PSM), General Safety, Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Electrical Safety for Unqualified Workers, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Excavation, Trenching, Shoring, Job Safety Analysis, Emergency Action Plan and Fire Prevention. A test of 50 questions is to follow after the instructional classroom training has ended, the trainee will have 90 minutes to complete the BOP Test.
This course is approximately 5.5 hours long with four-10 minute breaks between sections. At SCTMC there is not a break for lunch, but feel free to bring a snack for one of your breaks.
